I would not use these for fermenting - they are polycarbonate, and have high oxygen permeability. These are marked with #7 recycle code.

The best plastic to ferment in is PET (#1) - it has almost no permeability, and it's clear. Unfortunately, it's flexible, and not suitable for buckets, but makes great plastic carboys.
