Bless their hearts. I see it happening and I know it's real, but it almost seems like a dream. Well, for them, more of a nightmare. I have to believe, given enough time, they'll eventually get it right.
Re: MrBeer Site fwiw
I wonder if I should go over there and edit (think bump) my post, if they brought the site down without saying anything that might have been the last straw for some.

yah, I managed to get on a few hours ago ... I guessed they fixed their log in problems.
It was good seeing Packerduf in there, anyway. All this stuff makes me want beer. Now. I have to wait, I'm at work. All they sell for the long train ride home is Bud and Coors lite.
It would be nice to see Evily.

I was just able to get back on, but there is still no new information as to what will be fixed and when.
It is too bad, because we had some great times there. I was just starting to create some new recipes with the new extracts that I liked. Now I am not sure I will order from them at all.

Re: MrBeer Site fwiw
I agree that it's pretty sad. But let's look at this with a Beer Perspective, shall we?
Beer is ancient. Beer has changed and adapted to whatever climate, culture, condition in which it finds itself. And it has thrived in its new environs. Look at lagers, pilsners, and stouts. They are all different, because they are all examples of beer being adapted to a different environment. Look at how the Old World brewers adapted their craft when they arrived in North America. From their ingenuity, we have American Lagers, California Common, and new strains of hops.
Beer is indomitable! And this is so because it is so adaptable. We wouldn't recognize or probably even enjoy ancient Sumerian beer, at least not the same way we enjoy our current incarnation of beer. We continue to grow and adapt, for that is what beer has taught us.
The Mr. Beer borg may be on the road to extinction, and maybe it's by design; who knows. But we will thrive as a community of brewers, because we take the lesson of beer and we morph the borg. We have become beer. We ARE beer!

I was just in mrb borg ... it's running ... seems to have been running since yesterday afternoon after being out with password problems.
So, the smilies and the PM, and ease of posting pictures ... seem to be gone, but the posting and it seems the search are running. Not sure how good the search is working yet.
It's never run or looked as good as this board.
That's how I see it now. Glad to be invited here.

Re: MrBeer Site fwiw
As far as the MB site goes, I don't care what they do to it, fix it, change it back, whatever.... THIS is the new Borg, our new home.
I will go back to see if I can reclaim any "lost" info, pm's etc. but have no interest in being part of that anymore.
We have Louie here, he has done better than great work, and I for one will not treat him and his site as a "rebound". I'm sure many of you feel the same way.

Yup, that place is finished now.
Glad they are leaving our links up, they must have wanted this to happen.
