Post by swenocha »

This is the best list I've seen... I agree with all five of these wholeheartedly. I think most of you will agree with every one as well...

I like that guys thoughts.

Sometimes I feel like the Top 10 or Top 20 beer lists I see are just a way to say I am more special than you. They list of 10 or 20 beers that are only available for a couple of days at 1 store and then tell you, that if you haven't had any of the beers from the list you just don't know what that style of beer should taste like or something.

I never stress about those other lists in question, I just drink my own beer and am happy. So I like this new list quite much. The beer in my hand right now is quite good.

I disagree with #5.
According to his logic every homebrew beer you do is a top 5 beer.
That's the way I feel and I'm sticking to it!

Best beer list I think I have seen so far.

Irrefutable logic Mr Spock.
I will add Hagar the Horrible's Viking standard for wine, which can apply to any beverage. Instead of judging color, bouquet, etc, they use only two standards: Is it free, and How much is there?

Never mind, there it is.

Can't say I agree with "Free Beer" as one of the best beers I've had. All of my friends drink BMC or worse and hate any and all of the craft beers. So when I go to their place(s) I always bring my own beer because, even if it's free, I know the beer they're going to give me is crap.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
