Plus it beats other nicknames I've had, like "Lurch" and "The Naked Beast"! (Don't ask)
I don't know about the scruffy part but I like the protecting the ladies side of you. :)

It's because you have an easygoing, laid back attitude (and your avatar reminds of California :p ).

Well, thanks BB, I'll take it. I do endeavor to stay cool, unless it's completely necessary to show the other side. (28 years in law enforcement)

Kealia wrote:One more: FIT - "The crazy relative". Maybe it's your uncle, father, grandfather, cousin, whatever. He reminds me of the family member that just refuses to grow up. And that's a good thing.

As I read this thread, I realize that it may come across to some as a 'small club' but I hope it doesn't seem that way. I know some threads can easily become a dialogue between just a few folks because they all enjoy the same style, or maybe they've become friends but nobody should ever feel like they are an outsider or feel weird about joining a discussion. Some of us are just wordy, and some of us have traded beers and emails/messages off-boards and gotten to know each other better. That doesn't change the fact that EVERYBODY here is welcome and encouraged to participate.
Honestly, the way we got to know each other was through posting and chatting here. The more the merrier.

And I once again encourage those who are interested in trading beers to reach out to others to get it going. If you see somebody post a recipe/beer that looks good to you send a message and ask if that person is interested in a trade. I'm betting that they will be flattered that you thought enough of their beer to ask - even if they can't do a trade. It's expensive and time consuming to do, so not everybody is up for it - but odds are that you'll start a discussion and get to know somebody even better as a result.
That's a great point Kealia. And while these characters are all amusing, I know that everyone here has a colorful side. Maybe people should put their own characterization too.

John,

I didn't realize you were LE but now that you say it (likely said it before and I missed it) I can see it perfectly. My brother is on the job as well as many other family members.

Thanks for all that you do/did to keep the peace.

Ha, these are all great!!

I have not been around the :borg: as long as others have, though the personalities of those I do know better than others were spot on. Good thread, Dave.

I like the fact I was labeled "The Man with the Plan". I hope my plan comes to fruition in the near future.

This has been a fun thread to follow, thanks Dave. The borg personalities are all unique, but with one common goal, to make good homemade beer and help others do the same. I sometimes feel you all are my best friends even though I have not met anyone of you in person. Beer exchanges are fun too and you can get to know your fellow borg members by doing so. With that said I will tell you what I think about Beerlableman..........He is a Wildman on brewing and drinking good beers, a great friend to exchange beers with, and I bet drinking beers in person with him would be something you'd never forget.

I think Beerlabelman is the "life of the party guy". He's going to be the one running around, taking pictures, patting people on the back, giving hugs, etc.
Every party needs that guy.
