GETTING OLD AIN'T FOR SISSIES
Yep. That and;

GETTING OLD BEATS THE HELL OUTA THE ALTERNATIVE
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

+ 1 on that one FIT glad to hear it was the flu and not that you'd fallen through the ice.

Flu sucks; you can't eat or drink anything, you're thoroughly miserable, you want to die; and then it runs it's course, you get better and you come back to us I hope.

We miss you and I hope you get well soon and sympathize with the nasty weather you're dealing with at the same time.

I envision you laid up sick stressing over all the things you need to be doing but can't and feeling as stressed as you feel ill.

When my left hand got screwed up I about panicked since I have to take care of my bro and all kinds of chores piled up while I was in a soft cast.

We made it and so can you; be strong, patient and do what you need/must do to heal.

Looking forward to having you back on board once the evil flu demon passes.

Well heck... just when things can't, or shouldn't get any worse... went out to start truck this morn to go to base to visit wife and go see a doc... my eff'n truck is dead. It would not even light up the dashboard lights.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (note, I'm screaming now....)

Did not make it to base, did not get to see wife, did not get to see doc.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (note, I'm screaming now....again...)

Freaking batteries on diesels are freaking expensive, takes 2 of them suckas. Anyways.... took all day, out in the cold to get this dayum ford started. BUT, it was now 4pm and I'm really grumpy now (imagine that, ME, grumpy......)

On a (good?) note, I can now breathe, the crap has moved from my head, into my chest. Atleast I can use my CPAP to get a good night sleep.... last night was decent, but tonight, I will sleep like a baby! I hope!

Sorry for the rant, I'm a big baby, er, pain in the arse, when I'm sick.

On a note, I gave the wife a seriously serious apology for the other day... made her happy.

"Ford. The only auto manufacturer in America that circles the problem right at the factory.

(This makes more sense if you're looking at the Ford logo.)

The old body has been telling me to slow down for a while now. But then I got a letter from my daughter with pictures of my new grandbaby. Suddenly felt real old. And when I get back to the computer I'll post pics. She gets her cute from me.
