Bout darn time!!
Been sick for little over 3 weeks, have not had a single brew during this time. I poured me one for lunch today, thought I would share my first in a while. It's a RCE Chocolate-Cherry Stout. Nice and powerful, taste great to the last drop. She has some age on her, I think she's just now coming into her own. First time in a whilie I've been able to strum the stratocaster without butchering it.

Looks great (and so does the Fender!)
I am pretty sure I told you that I thought that beer was very enjoyable. My stout was just blah on that RCE and Dave's gushed so you're the clear RCE winner on that one.
Glad you're feeling better. No go and turn that guitar way up and melt the snow!

yep'rs, u did. Thanks for that, I wish y'alls would have turned out as good. Still needs some changes but I won't brew it again til next fall.I am pretty sure I told you that I thought that beer was very enjoyable. I had it cranked pretty good this am, sent the dog running! Don't know if that's a good thing... LOL, but I had the amp pretty heated. I'm looking for a new one, seriously thinking about the Fender Blues Jr. I like tube amps, they have a warm feeling SS just can't produce.Glad you're feeling better. Re: Bout darn time!!
Looks nice. I did enjoy the one you sent me. Paul's, too.
Which reminds me, I bottled a new batch of the NillaMilk a couple weeks ago, and I really should send you guys a bottle (along with a Fedora Brauhaus original brew). I'll have to dig through my saved emails for your addresses, but expect a package in early March.

I felt mine was weak and it was hard to believe it had oatmeal in it.
No worries about sending me anything Dave, unless they're gushers! I assume you've worked out whatever problem that was. I haven't had one in a while but my twin had a few bottles do that but the others hadn't and we're not sure why.

Actually, I believe I did work out the problem -- I assume it was infections settling into some micro-scratches on one of my LBKs, which has since been given the ol' heave-ho. I'll see how this batch shapes up (way too early to even think about opening a tester). It shouldn't be a gusher, if my theory is correct.Beer-lord wrote:I felt mine was weak and it was hard to believe it had oatmeal in it.

Re: Bout darn time!!
Good luck with it Dave, I've thrown away several fermentors I could feel scratches in. They are too cheap to risk a good batch, even though I think I learned the hard way myself.
