Three cheers for this Borg!

Post by Banjo-guy »

I browse on a few other beer related boards and rarely post on them. I think that this board is unique.
There is a real sense of community here. Some of the members have a long time relationship with each other. A few even see each other in the "real world " Newbies are made to feel welcome. People post things that can be very personal and have nothing to do with beer.

The advice is great and I am glad that the experienced brewers take the time to answer what must seem like obvious questions to them.

It is a smaller group than some of the other boards that I've casually checked out. I hope as this Borg grows we can keep the essence of what makes it great. I'm glad to be here.

I'm sure this place won't change no matter how big it gets. There is a humanity here like no other forum. And, what's covered here is a bit different in that there is about the same number of noobs as there are moderate and advanced brewers so the info and knowledge is spread all over.

Couldn't agree more, Banjo. That's why I started the "Borg personalities" thread. Just a way to show appreciation for the swell folks we've come to know here.

Ditto.

I find this more of a community than a forum type site. Other sites I roam around on posting sparingly as those do not have the same feel as the Borg does. Very unique and I hope it continues to grow more and more keeping that same feel. Though I have no doubt that little will change with the members here no matter how big it becomes.
