Luck *might* come into his own some day, but I don't believe he will ever be superbowl material. As an owner, if you get spooked that easy, perhaps it's time to sell the team. I believe the Colts would go good in Norf Dakoota. Plenty of new (oil) rich guys here that have no fear.

I don't really care who wins just as long as at least one quarter ends in a 7 & 4 or a 4 & 7.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

That's my prediction, too, Paul. But it should be a good game. The best offense vs. the best defense. I just think the Manning genes will shine through. He's had a career season, and let's face it; he's an experienced, and very cagy QB.

Colts fan, here. :p

They did what they had to do, given what they knew. Nobody was sure if Manning would ever throw another pass, never mind win an MVP and play in a Super Bowl. And even if they had kept him, he would've been such a salary cap hit that they would not have been able to keep ANY decent players around him, so it's not like he would have been playing on a contender in Indy -- it would have been a major rebuilding effort.

So, the choices were:
A) Keep Manning and hope he can carry a team of nobodies maybe to a winning record, and then he eventually retires and you have nothing. And, that's IF he is even able to play at all.
B) Let him go and draft a very good QB to build around for many years to come.

Since then, the Colts are 2-for-2 at making the playoffs, so I'd say they did pretty well for themselves.

Is Luck as good as Peyton? No. But, who is?

Defense wins Championships and this is proof I guess. At this rate, I may change channels and so might lots of others.

What a lousy game. I didn't care who won, but this is just not worth watching. Commercials aren't even very good.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Total and devastating domination! There is absolutely no way this game is going to change. I'm a big Wilson fan but pulled for the Broncos as I thought Manning would continue to roll and Wilson would have a case of the noobies but while Wilson hasn't done much up to now, the Seattle defense has done everything right and the Broncos offense, everything wrong.
I hope John Fox's heart surgery doesn't run out of it's warranty because this could kill a man.

That was by far the worst superbowl I've ever seen. I don't begrudge the Seahawks by any means, but WTH?? I think seattle just played my grade-school flag football team, the broncos did not show tonight. Gots to admit.... seattle had/has one hell of a defense.
