Hi, obviously I am a new member here and new to brewing. Starting out like a lot of folks since receiving a Mr Beer kit for Christmas. Been bouncing between this board and another and there is a lot of good information out there. Thanks to all who take the time to help us out with getting started. My first batch is conditioning and another is finishing up fermentation and I can tell that I will eventually have to move beyond Mr Beer (even before taking my first sip) with this new endeavor.

Yep. We've got all sorts of opinions here... some of them might even work...but I'll have to get back to you on that part...

Bottled 5 gallons of Ann Arbor Red on 4/18/17. Bottled 5 gallons of Michigan Red on 5/8/17.

Brewed in 2017 - 22.13 gallons (19.91 in 2012, 48.06 in 2013, 61.39 in 2014, 84.26 in 2015,46.39 in 2016)
Brewed in lifetime - 282.14 gallons
Drinkable beer on hand -  13.58 cases, with 6.11 cases ready in May and early June.
Average cost per 12 pack through all beer brewed - $6.27(ingredients only)

I always maintain that your first taste of your first batch of homebrew may not be the best beer you've ever tasted, but it'll definitely be the most satisfying.

Be sure to read and participate in threads. Ask as many questions as you need to in order to understand a procedure or term. We're all about the beer, and we're all happy to help.

Welcome, glad to have ya here. We're just a bunch of fools with a brewing problem and this our 12 step program. Except no one seems to be getting better, the beer is, just not us.
