Lucky Me!
About a week before I got sick I was talking with a co-worker about home brewing when someone else overheard us and popped his head over the cubical wall and said that he had tried home brewing when he was in his early 20s (I don't think he's 30 yet) but just didn't stick with it and now with a wife and 2 small children he really didn't have time to get back to it. Long story short he asked if I would be interested in the stuff he had left! Of course I said yes and asked what he had, I said a couple of kegs and couple of carboys and some other stuff but he wasn't real specific. I had all but forgot about it until today when I saw him for the first time in 2 weeks and he said he had the stuff in his car. It took me a minute to remember what he was talking about but next thing I know we were at his car moving his "old brewing stuff" into my car.
HOLY CRAPOLY!!!!! I had no idea what i was getting before going out to his car but I got all of the following.
3 - corny kegs
2 - glass carboys (5 gal & 6 gal)
2 - paint ball CO2 tanks with all the hoses for 2 corny kegs
1 - CO2 regulator with gauge
1 - tower with two tap handles with tubing and mounting hardware
1 - wrench for the corny kegs
1 - picnic tap
And all the O rings, seals and food grade lube for the corny kegs
Wait for it ....... for only $100!
I'm starting to believe in Karma!!!

Holy crapoly, Batman! What a score!
If I might offer some advice: Get all new gaskets for the kegging stuff. A very small investment to insure that the seals are tight. You don't know what condition those old ones are in. And a loss of beer would be....well, I don't have to spell it out, do I?

Re: Lucky Me!
that $100 doesn't even cover the cost of that tower... and that's without the taps....yeah, sweet deal.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
