I was in the middle of reading Wings post when the thread was deleted. All was fine when the back and forth bashing was going on, but mention the downgrade of the forum and BOOM. BTW Winds, Joebeer decided to post a FOURTH post and said you are a tool before it was deleted.

Not to worry. I got in a jab at joebeer before the deletion. He will ever be known as a short bus window licking bugger muncher, with a google search engine for words having more than two syllables. I believe I got in the last jab in the eye.

I thought my post was nice, evenly toned and reconciliatory in nature. JoeBeer seems to be someone that cannot be reasoned with.

Whatever. I don't care about that other forum anyway. I tried to play nice but now it's back to self imposed silence.

There was nothing wrong with your post, Wings. As you said, reconciliatory. But apparently some facts are not acceptable.

I read it, was nothing wrong with it. Seems like Mr. Beer is listening to trolls now, I really think that is a Mr. Beer employee stiring up the pot.

That's what I was insinuating in my post about Mr. Beer finding a away to get more of the old timers posting there again.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

I been kinda wondering if it wasn't something along those lines.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

The only point I'll make is this. I think at a minimum, we tripled their forum traffic and post count during this episode...
Fermenting: Bucket 1 - Fresh Squeezed IPA; Bucket 2 - Empty

Kegged: Keg 1 - Irish Red; Keg 2 - Cream Ale; Keg 3 - Amber Ale; Keg 4 - APA; Keg 5 - Empty; Keg 6 - Empty; Keg 7 - Empty
The reason why the above list is so small Home Theater Build

What's funny is the comment about a "fascist vibe" here when in reality.............the MrB forum is like state controlled media that oversees what the proletariat are "fed." That is one of the key tenants of fascism.

Sorry Fedora Dave...but FIT & I beg to disagree and we never called anyone ignorant. We got locked out because one of the mods doesn't swing from the right side of the plate.

T8r, are you talking about getting locked out of this board or the MB board?

My reference was to a mod locking down a thread here. A new brewer was struggling with his process (and with following directions, apparently), and asked if he was a sloppy brewer. I replied that I thought he was not sloppy, but rather just ignorant, but as he asked questions, did research, and got some experience, he'd improve steadily.

Well, he took exception, misinterpreting the word "ignorant" to mean "stupid", and the thread started to spiral a little bit, so it was (rightly) locked.

So I was kind of poking fun at the mods here, and at myself. I don't frequent the MB board anymore, so I'm ignorant as to what goes on there. Oops! I did it again!
