No, seems normal. Ground is saturated with water, typically will have fog, or light rain all morning, then clearing in the afternoon. It is a banner year for moss growing.Brewbirds wrote:Are you guys behind on precipitation up there as well?Rebel_B wrote:Here's one from Saturday, after the fog burned off in Kent, WA.

Re: Winter Pics
Picture of my neighbor's house last night.
But we did have white-out conditions here last night. Got scary just to the north of us. Ambulance - from a town other than ours - trying to get through to the hospital got stuck and then the plow trucks coming to rescue it got stuck too. LOML is the Director of our local Ambulance Service. We prayed all night that there wouldn't be a call for them. The prayers were answered. For us.

Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Here's the 'white out' here: fog every morning. This picture at 11:10 AM.

Re: Winter Pics
This was the beginning of my 3 hour drive home from my brother today. The back roads to the highway were very snowy.

Re: Winter Pics
My BIL (LOML's brother) sent us this picture from Ohio. The wind will get up strong enough and roll the snow into balls. He said it's extremely rare. You can see that there are no tell-tale foot prints in the snow from some one trying to pull a fast one on me. I think it's pretty cool and would love to see video of it happening.
Edit to add:
I found a video that actually shows them being formed. And I was right; It's pretty cool.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
