A date

Post by Beer-lord »

So today was beautiful. 68 degrees after weeks of cold and rain (more coming). So after lunch, I cleaned out the utility room and shed then the boss and I sat outside with the dog and I had some homebrew, she some wine and just chilled. Just the 2 of us. Well, 3 with Charlie. He's pretty nosey.
Though I miss our friends who are texting me with their new adventure, after a busy morning and early afternoon, it was nice just to unwind and talk amongst ourselves. I think she actually likes me. Score!

Duh, we were outside! Was a beaut of a day and would have been a great day to brew. Maybe next week or for sure, by the following week. Won't be long and it will be humid and hotter than hell.

ARGH all this talk about warm weather!!! Propane barely fires for me outside. Parents were going to take me to the LHBS to pick up a larger mash tun as a gift yesterday while they were in town. Told them we might as well wait until they are back down next month as with this weather I sure aint goona be outside brewing anything anytime soon. It is stricly MrB and other kits for me for awhile as dont like to do 60 minute boils inside as tends to get the ceilings sticky (kitchen fan typical of many older houses is not above the stove but on the corner wall).

But I digress, glad to hear ya had a great day!
