Schizophrenic Weather

Post by T8rSalad »

As I call it...Living in Arizona shields me from this type of weather for the most part...Ft Hood-Killeen weather: 32* today, 70* tomorrow, 76* Sunday, 41* & 39* on Monday & Tuesday, then back up to 60's*...what the hell is wrong? My blood is so thin that it freezes at 60*

Well after Atlanta's mayor blamed the weatherman for not warning them early enough 2 weeks ago, today's forecasters are now using words like "catastrophic" for the next wave of ice to hit Georgia.

Looks a lot like NW Florida weather. 30's on one day then mid-70's the next. A few weeks ago when the ice storm came through our way and temps were down in the low 20's to mid-teens on Tuesday & Wednesday -- We were literally on the beach having lunch on Saturday and it was 76. Strange weather for whatever reason this year recently.

I've lived in Alaska, Canada and New York in my younger days and I am in no hurry to live in that sort of climate again. Florida suits me just fine.

Went to visit JoeC on Sunday and had on a sweat shirt, it got up into the 70's and I was sweating. On the way out the door I told his daughter and son in law "enjoy the weather today, it may snow tomorrow".

Monday it was in the 20's but no precipitation thank goodness and today we are blanketed by mist and drizzle but it is above freezing. If temps fall tonight there will probably be icy roads everywhere.
Friday thru Sunday expected to be in the upper 70's.

I sure am glad my closets are big enough that I don't have to switch wardrobes seasonally.

Hoping JJ and Ink are stocked up and snuggled in because it sounds like Georgia is going to get hammered. Hope you guys I hope you have generators; sounds like power outages could be the worst part this time.

Sitting in the house looking out the window. Not because of nasty weather, it's because I've got Jack to do. Bored.

Just sitting here getting caught up with the Borg, no bad weather yet, drizzly and 35*. They have already called off work tomorrow so I'm sleeping in.
Don't have a generator, do have a gas fire place and gas stove. So heat and warm food if we lose power and have at least a weeks worth of dog and cat food.

I have ever thing I need to brew my next Sour and this my be my only chance EVER to brew in snow :p , so I may brew tomorrow.

Oh, and floor vents and kilts go great together. :)

Good to hear you're set Ink. I'll be keeping all of you guys in the path of this in my thoughts as it seems predicted to be wide spread and quite unpleasant.
Hang in there guys and please think safety first. ( "That preachy woman again!!!" :p )

Dude, you are hilarious. And I truthfully believe, extremely honest. The mental picture I have is stomach turning but I mean that out of manly respect.
