A Beacon of Hope-BLUR

Post by Beer-lord »

Damn, I have so much beer in my fridge, I can't get to it all but I am giving it the ole college try today (and feeling it too). I think Beerlabelman sent this to me.
Here's a beer I can't get here and its from Santa Cruz, CA. 7.3% ABV. Wow, I think I'm stopping after this one.
Pours with a great, foamy head. Extremely typical West Coast IPA. Lots of pine, citrus and some caramel on the nose. Pours cloudy and says it's 60 IBU's but it's somewhat aggressive for that rating.
Nothing really special. I've tasted a ton of beers very similar to this one over the years.
Not even 6 pm here and I'm calling it quits for drinking today. I'm going to enjoy the buzz and the awesome 68 degrees and think about what I'm brewing next Sunday and with myhorselikesbeer soon.

     Uhm, Ron sent that to us.

I've been having the same problem. To many beers, not enough time.
But yep, you called it. Nothing to stand out with this just a everyday easy drinking IPA. Thanks Ron.

Was it Ron that sent that out? My bad. Thought it was someone else. Too many to try but I'm working thru it.
Hey Jeff, you really like that glass, don't you? :)

Paul, I'm going to wear that Bad Ass Glass out. I rotate between it and a Naked Cat Glass.

I.....uhm.....even....have a certain place in the cabinet where they go after unloading the dishwasher.

BUT DAMNIT, THE BEER SURE TASTES BETTER FROM THEM!

It doesn't really matter WHO sent you beer as long as it shows up, right?

An everyday, easy IPA is a great summary of this one. It's nice to know it's always on tap locally if I want to get something when we go out.

Cheers.
