Re: The No Post Post
Had jury duty this morning. I wasn't one of the nine seated for the actual hearing. But it was an interesting process to go through some of the jury questioning. It would have been an interesting case to hear though. The defendant was a 14 year sheriff deputy up for OVI. The arresting officer was a State Park officer. The deputy refused the breathalyzer and field sobriety tests. I think it would have been neat to see how each side argued with no hard evidence.

I've been paying for years, not because we make so much, but because I designed it that way. I can invest and earn interest, as little as it may be, instead of giving the Gov. an interest free loan. Some people say they like getting money back, as it is like a savings account they use for purchases. My way just takes a bit more thought and effort. And of course "WILL POWER" not to spend it all before I have to give it up...
Re: The No Post Post
My dad passed away Sunday. Going to wake today. Sunday night I stayed up all night and brewed ... I knew I couldn't sleep. The electric/oil heater in my brew room ... I must have inadvertently hit the switch to off when I moved it. Went down a day later to the brew room, and it was 53 deg in there.
I turned on the heater ... and over time it went back up to 59/60. Two days later ... nothing happening in the air lock. Today it's starting to bubble a bit. Phew. Never had one fail to ferment, after 270 brews.
I'm glad I made a batch of "Poppy's Ultra Light" for my Dad for Christmas. He couldn't take a heavy beer any more, at 87. I always wanted to do that for a birthday or Christmas, but never remembered in time to 2-2-2 it. This year, I did. I'll miss my Dad.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Tobasco.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.
