Angels amongst us the Borg

Post by T8rSalad »

Angels = Nioga & JoeChianti

In the final stages of my daughter & grandkiddies lives in Texas and preparing to move them back to Arizona, packing boxes, loading the truck, cleaning the house and dealing with the grandkids all at the same time...These beautiful angels offered childcare assistance and their precious time to watch Aidan & Ayla for a couple nights. They even welcomed my daughter into their castle to stay the night prior to her long drive back to AZ.

These two angels were sent from above in our time of need and I sincerely thank them from the bottom of our hearts, my wife's as well, even though she was back in AZ getting ready for our arrival late that Monday a week ago. No one could be more kind and receptive of our family than these two generous people whom I met through brewing and the MB borg and here on this borg. God bless them.

:thanks: Nioga & JoeC & :urock: as well :wow:

A moving sentiment T8r. The world is full of people so we can help each other. It gives a whole new meaning to the term "Beer Buddies".

WOW I'm speechless. Thank You Nioga and Joe. I know you're thinking "we were just doing what anyone else would do", but you did do it and it means the world to T8r and to us.

Oh man, I had a crappy day and hearing this made it all go away. How great those folks are and I hope one day I can meet them and thank them in person.

How cool would it be if we got their address and everyone of the borg would send them one of their homebrews? It could never repay them for their kindness but it'll let them know the Borg stands together.

I can't say I'm surprised that Joe and Nioga showed this kindness and hospitality. And they probably just shrugged it off and said, "Hey, that's what friends do."

But something like this means the world to those who receive it, and it will not be soon forgotten. Bless you, Joe, and Nioga!

This is amazing but not surprising Joe and Nioga are a great example of the quality people here. And what i have grown love about being here. Even though i have never actually met any one here i feel like we are all friends and this is what friends do for each other and never think that its a big deal. Joe and Nioga :urock: as does the borg

I'm honored to be able to visit with JoeC and his wife on occasion and I know how fond they are of T8r.
Offering to help T8r's family comes as no surprise and I'll remind the :borg: that our buddy is overcoming some health issues so do keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

This is a great bunch of folks who have gathered together out of a single common interest and become a caring and supportive community.

If you ever get close to Austin TX, look em up and hook em up...nicest most friendliest couple you have ever met. JoeC is starting his path down health way admirably, lost a few pounds but not his sense of humor (if you call it humor--LOL) and Nioga has the biggest heart on this earth and I mean that from mine!!! The grandkiddies miss them already.

Propaganda. He's a mean old coot. After I joined the other forum I PM'd him a few months in and asked his advice about adding LME to some batches. He did what a typical mean old coot would do, he gave me his perspective, offered some suggestions and told me to let him know how it came out. Sheesh! Can you imagine!

I agree that Joe is one of the nicest guys on the forum, old or young. It appears from his photo that he's lost teeth in addition to pounds. Good to know that it's not all bluster on the site, that his niceness is in real life too.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Yeah, that's the kind of selfless, generous stuff I've come to expect from most of the mean old coots on this board.

Me, included. :p
