OK... I'll veer back on topic... ;)

My wife says I'm obsessed with beer glasses, so this seems like a good place to post for me. I have effectively trimmed the vast majority of the standard nonic pints, so here's what's on the shelves in the beer pantry now...

What's missing? Well... the Sweetwater tulip I broke the other day (grr...). But... I'd like a Kwak. A better pilsner. A wheat. Maybe a stange. Also a Berliner bowl. But really... I need to thin the ranks more before thinking about more. The shelves are full... ;)

I've got quite a few of those, mostly European, some from the 80's, etc. I should unpack them all someday. I'm not about to drink from them though.... I'm too clumsy, not about to break any of them.

Storage! Reminds me that I have a set of 1950s gas station glasses with the National League teams on them. Wrapped in the basement. Now, do I use them or sell them to finance brewing?

Dag? Are you still talking about the beer glasses or the "wives"?
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

never picked up a "wife" in Germany.
2 from Washington State
1 from New Mexico (and in reality, from Texas...if I'd know that, I'd have given it a miss)
and 1 from Australia via Ireland. The Aussie I plan on keeping.

I can say that there is a huge difference in aroma between drinking my Pliny in the Spiegelau IPA Glass and a regular pint glass. Even I'm surprised how much of a difference. Though both offer an enjoyable experience, I know which one I want to drink my IPA's out of.

I've been collecting the regular 16oz glasses for a few years, bought 9 in Memphis last year. Elvis, Beale St., Central BBQ, Sun Records, Gibson, etc. Great city and my favorite glasses for sure.
