It looks like some functionality is returning to the old Mr B forum, but for me it is too little too late. I may still order from them from time to time. Actually I like some of their new extracts like the Northwest Pale Ale and Bewitched Amber Ale as a base for my own brews. I keep checking in to the forum but mainly it feels like watching a train wreck. Just can't keep from looking.
It is much more fun here now.

Re: Mr. Beer loyalty
Well I quit brewing hme's in feb. and never bought a kit, I just buy dme, hops,and yeast. you got a good beer without much work or time involved. I can make 5 gal for what a mrb kit will cost with s&h. So it's not product loyalty I liked the site and the people. It was a great pace to learn. I still hit the noob threads over there to try to help them. and check the drainpipe but don't know fro how much longer.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Ehh, screw them! They have had plenty of time to fix their eff up and yet, after all our voicing about it, they blow us off. EFF them!! I'm doing an all grain as I type this, so much better and cheaper!

Re: Mr. Beer loyalty
Say, did anyone else get an email from Mr. Beer? They were asking me if I have any kids in elementary school that can help them fix the website.

Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.

Re: Mr. Beer loyalty
It is a shame about the site, but to be accurate, the basic log-in and posting functions are working now. The thing is ... this forum right here looks and runs the best of any of been on, including my motorcycle forum I go on, and that one is very good. On a side note, I got a lot of compliments from my friends when I served MrB Diablo IPA. Doesn't really taste like an IPA, but it's good.
