More Beer to Drink!!!

Post by BlackDuck »

I went to a new beer store last night. It's a good thing this place is a 25 minute drive and not just around the corner from my house. I could really get into trouble at this place. Their selection was incredible. So this is what I came out with:

From left to right:
Tiger Baby: Open Windows, Open Hills by Mikkeller (Denmark). Info on the web is fairly hard to come by. Most of it is from review sites like BeerAdvocate. The interesting thing is that some places call it an IPA and others call it an APA, both mention that it's made with mango and passion fruit added. Should be interesting.
SixPoint Brewery Hi-Res Double IPA: He said this is an outstanding IPA that compares to Pliny and Heady Topper, we'll see!!
Stochasticity Project Grapefruit Slam IPA: This is actually some whacked out brew project from Stone. Can't wait to try this one.

Looks like I'm going to enjoy the rest of my week!!!

Tiger Baby I have had before, but it was a while ago and I can not remember for the life of me how it tasted. Sixpoint Hi-Res is absolutely incredible. I do not like the lighter version of that beer called Resin, but this amped up version is great. Stochasticity was an interesting beer, very grapefruity as one would expect, it makes for a good IPA.

Yea..I can't wait to try that one. I'll save that for this weekend. I just posted a review of the Hi-Res in the Review thread. I'll post reviews there as I drink them.

I got an email today too about the Slam.
A local brewery here did a seasonal grapefruit IPA but it was just so-so. I think they kept it light due to the fact that they wanted to go after the regular beer drinker.

Don't know if I'll get some of this but I'm still looking for their Go To IPA locally with no luck. I can't both drink my beer and keep paying for all the great craft beers too!
