Of my own homebrew, about 2 years. Generally something I forgot about in the basement.

I have several in older states at this point. A brown ale bordering on 3 years is the oldest. Several others in 1.5-2 year state.

Oldest in my pipeline are some 2 year old quads.

Oldest I've ever drank was a 3 year old beer. It was good too.

14 months of my own, but that will grow as the pipeline ages, although I am trying to polish off the older ones.

Funny story, my in-laws don't pay any attention to dates, you can often find soda or beer (only for me) in their frig with years old dates. My father in-law, famous for salvaging (i.e. TRASH PICKING) things from the ends of people's driveways, had a can of beer in his frig that was 1/2 faded. He found it floating in the lake and figured "it would still be good". I shook my head and tossed it.

Someone at my homebrew club had a 10 year old barley wine that he shared with us that was amazing!

The oldest I have here is my pumpkin pie spice cider which is 1-1/2 years old.

Realizing I misread the question... I thought it was the oldest homebrew I had. If it's the oldest beer I've drank, I had a J.W. Lee's Harvest Ale 1988 last year at Heorot in honor of my 25th HS reunion (graduated in 1988). The oldest commercial beer I have cellared is a 1994 Sam Adams Triple Bock.

Ahhh, that was some good stuff! Bought a case and it went all too quickly.

The oldest I can say with certainty was a 15 year old bottle of Thomas Hardy's. I carefully labeled dates on them so I could see how it progressed. It was simply awesome. But, they are long gone (sniff).

Strangely enough, the second oldest beer I had was around a 10-15 year old Old Milwaukee. I was up north for reunion and picked up several cases as it is about the only place you can find it in bottles (well used recycled bottles at that). And yes, there is a huge difference between bottled and canned imho. It also was very, very good. Still have one left that is probably pushing 20 years.

I think that last year I drank some Rye PA that might have been a couple of years old. Most of it was good. In my youth I found some old Millers in the trunk of my Charger. They'd been in there all winter, but I drank them anyway!

lol I have a full STEEL can of Strohs with a pull top in my fridge at home. Well, half full as before I put it in my fridge it started to have a slow leak. Found it at my great aunts when cleaning out her house when she passed away. Forgot all about it. Right next to my full can of Billy Beer. Im not man enough to try either one of those (especially Billy as it was terrible when it was fresh).
