Don't be bro! I guess I did not understand you are a mech a nick! I'm good with air planes, old tractors and motorbikes. The rest I'm a back-yard mech a nick. Please don't take anything I said serious or personal, I don't have a freaking clue when it comes to the newer crap-cars with computers and such. Working on my diesel truck makes me want to pull my hair out.

Seriously, these cars have starter fuses now? This is why my car goes to the stealership for work.... I'm lost on them.

I know Im late to the party but most auto parts places will come out to your car with a OBD2 or electrical tester, test for the problem or find fault codes, and tell you what you need. At the very least it will narrow things down. Then again, if it is working.... Not sure if the fault code will stay in memory or not.

From what my fuzzy mem. thunks, once a code is thrown in the puter, it stays there until reset by a code reader, me thunks.

If the problem clears, the code is gone. You have to catch it. Very frustrating sometimes. Some add a bluetooth code reader and use their smartphone app to monitor it.
