My burner

Post by Beer-lord »

In keeping with 'KISS' (which most certainly includes saving money) I've got a great burner who's style has been around these parts for decades. Some have a slightly different shape, others a different size but they have all been virtually the same. I paid about $25 for mine but since Katrina, they've gone up in price (as has everything else) and go for about $50 now. They last a very long time. I still have one I don't use much that is very basic that is about 30 years old. This one is only 6 years old.

A few other popular brands locally are now available online.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Man, those cajuns do know a few things, don't they. And to think they spend much of their time catching gators!

That Bayou Classic looks awesome. Looks like it gives off a real good even heat too.

I've got the Bayou as well with the 20 psi regulator. Thought it was going to burn through my first thin walled brew pot.
