I would have said a Belgian but the quiz rocket says I am a "Local Microbrew".

according to a 'test'... local microbrew

personality-wise I am a mix of beers. call me Sybil.

a somber and brooding abbey dubbel
a confused mess of a saison.. manic.. fruity.. .smokey.. tart and sometimes funky
an imperial stout... heavy, full of coffee and chocolate
a crisp, clear and to the point lager

Not sure where I would fit in. I'm generally laid back, don't care what's going on around me. If not messed with, I'll give u the shirt off my back or the $$ in my pocket. I like long walks on the beach with my babe, afternoon walks in the country with SWMBO and long rides on my harley. When I'm messed with, I will generally shake my head and walk away, push me again I'm a nuclear rocket in your face, would just as soon hit you with a bat than put up with your stupidity. I'm also not the sharpest tool in the box but get by just fine. When physically able, I would help you with your work/chores and not want nor expect anything in return. I'm thinking a pale ale type of guy?

Where was that test y'all took? My google hunting luck is pretty low right now.

problem with these 'quizes' is that the are not representative of the person taking them entirely. the number of choices forces you to either skip or just pick one.‎

Cool, thanks. It says I'm a Local MicroBrew. Says I wear glasses (tru), shop at whole foods (WTF is that? LOL) and drive a Prius? A Prius?? I drive a Ford truck and ride a Harley... LOL, they missed the boat on that one big time. I think my first thought was correct, I'm a pale ale type guy.

whole foods - an overpriced yuppy grocer that sells "organic" foods and bulk foods at ridiculous prices.

I'm only local micro in the sense that I think commercially available big name beers are largely liquid crap. they were fine in my teens when I had only $1.25 to spend on a 32 oz bottle.. but now? lol. no thanks. one exception would be Moosehead lager from Canada. yeah.. it's kinda lame but every now and then I drink it for nostalgia sake. that and Labatt blue were the drink of choice on those long dungeons and dragons weekends without sleep in the 80s.

I drive a gas guzzling Pontiac wide body car. so yep... these 'quizes' are kinda lame. oh and pale ales are perfectly fine too. my first foray into mr beer was a dry hopped, orange peel, northwestern pale ale ... a superb recipe that DogsandHarleys came up with.

Test forced me to pick a drink if they had no beer, and none of the options on the list were what I would pick - a soda. If they have no beer, then I ask "why am I here?".

Great topic...get bored more often Kealia!!! :thanks:

I am a Variety Pak which nails it for me as I brew such a wide range (at least in my book). I tend to lean toward the lighter end of the scale though, like Pilsners, blonde malty types etc. but I will brew and drink darker ones when I feel like one. I like choices kinda like my women (SWMBO or SWMBO or SWMBO).

Just off the top of my head I would have to say that I'm a stout; I'm thick - both mentally and physically - and heavy and really, really, REALLY easy going.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

What's interesting is that I had no idea that was an actual quiz out there when I posted this.

Hey FIT, what about a wheat with a little hop punch to it and a pinch of rye to raise the occasional eyebrow? I'd drink you. :jumpy:

I think BB2 would be an Irish stout; consistent, steadfast, reliable and always pleasant; something you can look forward to enjoying after a hard day.

I'm going to be my Texas Y'all Brown ale because the brown ale base is a perfect empty canvas to accept a true Gemini personality so it will take the often wacky, unorthodox, creative moods I get in and still hold up some what when I totally go overboard in my thinking.

I think I'd be a dark IPL. Let me 'splain....

I can be a little moody, sometimes. I try to be mellow and a little low-key, but I can be volatile, too. So I guess I'm kind of complex and surprising, and I'm a bit of a contrarian, too. If people around me are freaking out and worrying, I tend to balance things out by being the calm, unconcerned one. That works the other way, too, and if everyone is calm about something, I tend to swing to the opposite side and find all the things about it that would make me worry.

So a dark IPL is complex and has depth in the malt, some aggressiveness and surprises in the hops, and an underlying mellowness from the yeast and the cold brewing. Most of all, it's drinkable all the time.

John Sand wrote:Well, I searched and took two quizzes. One said I'm Budweiser. If I had to choose, I'm not sure. I kind of want to say pale ale, regular, reliable, a little fun. But then there should be a twist, an edge. I'll update if I think of anything.
What no link?? Think that would be fun to play John.

As far as what beer I would be?? I have no idea a weird Belgium that surprise you.............

If you want to do a quiz then just type "what beer are you" into your search engine (I used Google) and take your pick...
