hello borg

Post by woody »

hey, I'm an all grain brewer with 31 batches now. still learning stuff but on the most part into brewing better cheaper and easier. I harvest yeast, grow hops, and bottle all my beer. planning on trying to make some of my own specialty grains in the oven but not there yet. just brewed what I call an ,all most porter. fermenting at 64 now. SG 1.074. the reason for the high sg was I think I hit 78% on my mash eff. that's a high for me. IS assimilation complete.?

Welcome...by the looks of things you'll fit in great around here.

As for the high gravity....it must be in the stars today. I just finished a batch and got 1.058 on a recipe that was predicted to be 1.054!!!
