Sounds that are music to a homebrewer's ears

I'm sitting here typing this with the steady singing of the stir bar mixing my yeast starter. It's a lovely sound, because it means I'll have a large, healthy crop of yeast to pitch in my pilsner Sunday morning.

I also like to hear the bloop of the CO2 passing through the airlock during primary fermentation.

And the Psssshhhhh! when I pry the cap off a well-conditioned homebrew.

What sounds make you, as a homebrewer, happy?

I like the sound my kettle makes right when the boil begins. I swear it sounds just like 'beer thirty'!

how bout the sound of someone when they take a drink of you homebrew for the first time......they take a sip and say something like mmmmm....that is good!! you made this??

The lack of sound when the boil starts and the hot break doesn't foam over the pot and burn on the stovetop!

Have to agree with these two, Dave. I actually recorded the bubbling of the airlock once and made it a sound on my mobile phone for an incoming text message. Apparently I was the only one that got it and thought it was cool amongst our friends. Now they know

My room mate thinks the IPAs I have brewed all smell like horse pee.

I really love the sound of the bubbles going through the S airlocks I have. I do all the fermenting in my closet or in a minifridge in my bedroom. And the sound of an active fermentation or two is one of the best ways to just relax and pretend the drama of the outside world doesn't exist.

I have to agree on the sounds of fermentation through an airlock. Every batch, I take the time to sit, listen and watch...

The air lock bubbling the sound of the bottle opening and the wort boiling are all great sounds. And Grand Funk Railroad while your brewing never hurts these old ears, And i was lucky enough to see Black Oak Arkansas way back in the early 70s. (Jim Dandy to the rescue Rocks)
