Tried another one of my Hop Head Double IPA's, now it's getting close, was bottled 2/9, my first taste test at the 2 week mark it was good ( have done this one 3 times.) but not much or almost no carb. Now finally getting some carb on this beer and good lacing, it has been cool in my basement lately and I think that might have been the hold-up. 2 more weeks and it will be what I want.

Maybe a half hour for the whole process. You add heat, the water is eventually drawn up through a filter into the upper chamber and floods the coffee grounds. Then you remove from heat and the water is drawn back down into the pitcher. The grounds stay up top and the coffee ends up in the bottom. Makes a fantastic cup of coffee. all the flavours, aromas, oils are trapped within the process. Best way to make coffee IMHO.

The difference I've found is that you have to watch it the whole time or you'll end up with a coffee bomb!

Is that the same thing as one of those "coffee press" things I've heard of?

For years and years I've tried to figure out why the coffee I get at Star-Bucks or Caribou tastes so much better than the coffee I make at home. Turns out that it's because the coffee I get at Star-Bucks or Caribou is served to me by pretty young college girls. Well, SWMBO won't let me get one of those college girls to serve me coffee at home. Mr. Coffee is going to have to be just good enough.
