Nice Kealia!
mtsoxfan I don't really concern myself with what my kegs look like. They are hidden away in my kegerator where people don't see them.

Re: Time for a new keg, too
You hold that keg like it's your baby, which it is! I just picked up a used 5 Gallon for one of my home brew club buddies for $65.00 - Reconditioned & pressure tested. It's from the new home brew shop "The Simple Brewer" 3 minutes from my house. I may start working there on Saturdays just for fun.

Gymrat, I just have free time on my hands... at times... while it's in a fridge, it would still be nice to me if it looked newer.
Re: Time for a new keg, too
I like those little more beer kegs too! Just got another one last week, kegged a little batch of Amarillo Pale Ale last night into the new arrival. They are super convenient to carry to parties, or anywhere.
Drinking: Columbus Double India Pale Ale

And the smell of new rubber is intoxicating!
I'm not overly concerned about keeping it shiny, I'll likely cover it in beer stickers soon enough. But I will admit that it's pretty right now!

Mine's full of dust. I have 1 like you do and had 2 Italian versions that I used alot. I ended up selling those 2 Italian ones on craigslist for $50 each and kept the other one thinking I'd use it but I haven't in over a year.
Mine is 2.5 gallons but appears to be taller than yours and I can't remember but I think only the bottom of mine is rubber. Anyway, it's lost its smell.

Beer-lord, are you saying you have a 2.5 gallon keg that you aren't using? If so, would you be interested in selling it? I was considering getting one soon

I do plan on using it again one day and don't want to sell it. Sorry.

Re: Time for a new keg, too
This thing has been empty since I bought it (I know, forgive me my brewing brothers and sisters....) so I'm glad to have my Summer Ale lined up to fill it in a couple of weeks.yankfan9 wrote:Only thing better than a shiny new keg is a shiny new keg with beer in it, I'm sure it won't be long!
Since this is a full 2.5G (versus the smaller one that was 2G I had in rotation) I can use my siphon directly into the OUT QD to fill this when ready. I like using that method when I can without having to worry about over-filling.
Re: Time for a new keg, too
A few places have them - Amazon, Midwest, etc.
I just have to remember what they are called and I will provide a link for you.
