Enjoy By 4.20.14 - Who's in?

Post by Kealia »

I have a buddy that just texted me from the local liquor store. They post on Facebook when they are getting cool stuff in and he showed up right as they were unloading the palettes! I'm stopping at his place to get mine from him.

Apparently, Stone has also released some gear to go along with the beer:

I can't say that I'm getting any.....but I can't say that I'm not.

First, you should be arrested for contributing to those of us who are financially impaired! Why I never!!!!!
Around Thanksgiving I ordered, directly from Stone, a t-shirt, a number of glasses and a baseball cap. I'm good though I will be buying a few Enjoy By's very soon. I don't think it's made its way to us just yet. At least not on the shelves.

p.s. I so much like the t-shirt and hoodie with the 'Dank' label on it.

That's funny, it never even occurred to me. They need to make that part in either chalkboard paint or useable with erasable sharpies!

I got a call from my local liquor store today. Danny said he scored a case of Enjoy By and was setting some aside for me. Do they know me or what.
Love the hoodie, but don't wear them. Need to see if it comes in a T-shirt.

Nice that we're in the Enjoy By loop out here now. Liked the Go To quite a lot... IMHO it's better than Terrapin's RecreationAle, which is the same concept.

It is available at a store I can walk to. The question is if it's worth $8 a bottle...

In my personal opinion, a resounding YES! but I agree it's not for everyone and I understand why.
I think it's one of the best beers in the states.

Two years ago I would have spit it out and said, "too bitter and too hoppy".
Today I find it to be easier to drink than some regular IPAs on the market that are bitter just to be bitter.

This one is very well balanced and just plain yummy. But I also know that my palette has changed a lot over the past 2 years, too.

I would definitely recommend at least giving it a go.

Is the Enjoy By an ever-changing recipe (a la Yazoo Hop Project)? Or have they settled on one recipe? I always assumed the former, but hadn't really looked into it. Yazoo, for instance, has a base malt bill, but changes the hop bill each time. #76 was very much an English IPA, while #77 is more of the west coast variety, for example.
