Home Run
I chilled a bottle of My Fat Cat Pale. It's a clone of Flying Dog Doggie Style Pale. Then I let my wife taste them both without identifying them. She liked mine better! She can often taste flavors that I cannot, so it means a lot to me. On the other hand, I like the FD better. And it is definitely different, grassier hops, more hop aroma. But part of that goes to the recipe from Clone Brews. Anyway, I'm happy.

Awesome John...that's a great feeling when you produce a good quality beer. Especially when someone else says it's great too.

Nice job! I would take pride in knowing that you can make beer that would be comparable to a pro.

Well done! It's always a good feeling to have others evaluate your homebrew in a positive way.

Re: Home Run
Hit another today. I brought my old partner a Maureen O'Hara Irish Red. He hadn't had my homebrew before. He told me after that he was prepared to tell me it was good regardless. But he couldn't stop going on how great it was. We went to a beer bar for lunch, drank craftbrew, he still thought mine was better. Of course, I followed that with a chaotic brewday. And if necessary to prevent head swelling, I can go right downstairs and find cases of bad beer I brewed!
