RB, That right there is a great looking beer, Wish I had one in front of me right now.Rebel_B wrote:First pour of my homebrewed Brewer's Gold IPA. Solid malt backbone of 83% Pale, 14% Munich, & 3% Crystal 10L. Three boil additions of whole leaf Brewer's Gold hops, some at flameout, as well as a dry hop. This one was bottled on 1/19/14 and finished at 8.0% ABV. This is a tasty one! Not a typical NW style IPA, these hops bring a different spice to the taste.

First pour of Centennial Amber Ale. In this SMaSH recipe, Gambrinus Munich malt 10L and whole leaf Centennial hops were brewed up on 1/26/14, fermented, kegged & carbed. Came out a bit darker than I expected. This simple recipe is very tasty, liking the Munich malt.

Awesome......grain to glass in just over 2 weeks.
It is surprisingly darker than I would have thought for Munich 10 but she's a beaut for sure.

Re: First Pour Thread
Bravo Delta Imperial Rye (This was the test recipe from the book author I've been working with.)
The pour was a little over zealous but the head was rich and creamy and held on through the end. The aroma was citrusy and spicy and very inviting. The taste was on the bitter side that reminded me of a nice IPA with a slight sweetness and a unique hop flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Mouthfeel was full, with a hoppy bite and almost creamy finish.
I will be brewing this one again!

Looks great. I'm really enjoying what rye brings to beer, especially IPA's.
