My ears are burning...

Post by evily »

Have you all been talking about me???

I got a nice little note from RickBeer that I was missed over here. Awww, how sweet! :)

I must apologize for my absence  In all honesty, I have not been doing any brewing (hey, that rhymed!). Of course, that's a lousy excuse to not hang out with you all. So, please accept my apologies! I will try to be here more.

But the reason I have not been brewing is because I have been so busy with... planning my upcoming wedding! :jumpy: Holy crap, y'all, I'm getting married!!! The boyfriend (now fiance) popped the question on Valentine's Day. And guess where we're getting married. Just guess. Give up? Okay, I'll tell you: Two Brothers Roundhouse. As in Domaine Dupage and The Bitter End, etc. It's going to be a BEER WEDDING! :woot:

But enough about me. How have YOU all been doing??? What have I missed???

As a matter of fact we have been talking about you. Well...we've been saying ugly things about your boyfriend since you on aren't on here anymore. :p

Poor Dave I don't know what he's going to say when he hears you haven't been brewing. :( :(

Best wishes and congrats on your upcoming wedding, I think we kind figured that one out though.

Please drop in as often as that time sucking man of yours will allow.

CONGRATULATIONS, Evily. :clink:
We understand how brewing could get side tracked a little when love is in the air.

Congrats! I too had a beer (and wine) wedding, although had to include a vat of Blue Light for those who dont appreciate the good stuff. Even had a special keg brewed up for us by Jolly Pumpkin. Hey, have you considered brewing a batch of your own for the wedding? Depending on the number of guests, it may be a unique table gift or even a special treat for the wedding party toast.

Regardless, glad to see your smiling face!

That is truly beautiful Evily. I wish you both the best. And it is nice of you to drop in and share the joy. When can you teach your husband to brew?

Thanks, all, for the warm welcome back and the congratulatory wishes! It's good to be here! I've been spending way too much time on wedding-related online forums and the drama there gets really old, really fast. It seems to me that most bride(zilla)s these days could benefit greatly from a cold brew or three. :fedora:

I would so love to invite you all to the wedding shindig (we will have 5 different Two Brothers beers on tap all night long, plus wine and a full open bar - something for everyone!), but alas, the venue isn't big enough for all of ya (though I guess we could just uninvite the family  ). I will definitely share pics of the big event though!

Being back here on the Borg has made me want to dust off my brewing equipment. Maybe I'll have to whip up a simple Mr Beer-based batch this weekend.

In the mean time, how about an engagement picture or two? Aren't we cute? :p
