Dearest Emily,

You have broken my heart and made it swell with wonderful news all at the same time.

Congratulations, dear one. Many, many years of happiness and love to you and the extremely fortunate man who will wed you.

Understand, however, that you will ALWAYS be part of the Borg. You will always be free to post here, and grace us with your wit, your intelligence, and your beauty, both inward and outward.

Read up a little, and see how my own daughter is making wedding plans, and I am tasked with providing a special brew for the groomsmen.

Be the Borg, Emily. You cannot escape it. You are one of us.

And we are you.

Welcome back, dear Emily.

Dave, you brought a tear to my eye. What a sweet and heartfelt post! And how exciting that your own daughter is getting hitched too! He better be a good guy, or the Borg will surely hunt him down and take care of him.

I, Evily, vow to spend more time here on the Borg, for better or for worse, til I run out of homebrew. :woot:

And though I wasn't planning on having a bachelorette party, I might reconsider if I knew members of the Borg were going to be there. :p

He's a good guy, Emily. I would see to it, as would my wife, my brother(s), my sister, my niece and nephew.

Besides, how could The Hat's daughter not have good taste?

Welcome back stranger!

As Dave said, "Be the Borg, Emily. You cannot escape it. You are one of us."

Some leave, some stay but all in all, the Borg is a living being made up of the sum of it's parts.

Glad your parts are back!

I don't understand this "planning for my upcoming wedding" stuff. I always thought that wedding plans just took care of themselves.

Oh wait.

That's right...I'm a guy and those are just one of things I don't (didn't) have to deal with.
