First Beer Mail!!!
I got my first ever Beer Mail on Monday from Paul (Beer Lord). It was his portion of our RCE, a RPL that he made and a local brew from Parish Brewing -South Coast Session Amber Ale. He also generously included one of his PAB's glasses. The local brew was a very nice color, think amber waves of grain...gold not reddish, smooth flavor with slight hop aroma and flavor to round out a good malt base.
I will be sending out my part of the RCE next Monday as I am off and that will be week 3 in bottle, so it will be ready for consumption on arrival.
Thanks again and Long Live the Borg and Beer Mail

Glad I could be your first! There's nothing like that first time. Hopefully, the homebrews will be worth remembering.

You never forget your first! There's something about getting something in the mail that isn't a bill - and to have it be BEER is just that much better!

Just as I was reading the OP's post it occurred to me that "SHIPPING SUCKS" mostly for sending each other beer but also that it usually costs more that your order so I say we all come together and brainstorm on creating a business plan for a shipping company that is solely owned and operated by the .
If we can figure it out the beer mail posts should increase exponentially.

I've shipped via UPS at my office for so long, I'm embarrassed to admit and the cost to my business now is major. If I look at the line items of my expenses at the end of the year, shipping stands out much, much more than it ever has. Competition hasn't affected it much.
So, if you want to start BPS (Borg Parcel Service) go ahead but I'm not sure you can be profitable.

not much on business acumen, however if you need a strong back, a weak mind, and someone little else to do, I'm your man! I got a truck with a camper shell...I can help do the west Ga and east Al runs seems to me all we need is a driver network. the shippers notify the drivers along a route and the drivers work out where to meet and when. i.e. FiT ships to philm00x. just announce of the borg the intended shipment. people along the obvious route speak up, if they can at that time. and drivers work out the handoffs like maybe dbrowing could run it down to Auburn I'd meet him and run it down to the Fl border. or meet inkleg below Macon and run it south from there on 75 we won't be as fast as ups with overnights and all but hey, we're a non profit organization. lets face it, it would be a VERY p/t job at best. I am in no way indicating dbrowing or inkleg would have the time. I'm just using their names as an examples.

I'd run a little beer for ya' all. I could put a lot in the back of my Jeep, it's rough riding, cold and not good gas mileage, but it will go most anywhere it is pointed. But I couldn't guaranty there would be anything left when I would get to the destination..............
