Hmmm, Rick why did you have to point out this place is soooooo dang close? Picking up at the door brings it to around two beans a pound, amd I have both a vacuum sealer and canner attachment. LME is quite the bargain but no way would I use 33# before it started to go bad. Yet, anyways....
Since I pointed it out 3 1/2 months ago, I take no blame for your falling victim to their prices. :laugh

Yes, I have no way to use 33 pounds either. But it shows you how even at $2.50 a pound our mutual friend is making nice margins. I've told him before he could improve his profit dollars by cutting prices on some things, but he doesn't want to get bigger. I bought my Star San elsewhere, and just bought caps on eBay for less than 1/2 his price.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Yeah, I get the feeling he applies the same margins across the board rather than high margin things that still come under the competitioin or are more convenient to get locally and lower the margins on the things that it really doesnt matter where you get them from. At $2.50 he is making good money and I am saving good money so for that I wont complain.

I got a 50lb bag of Briess DME for about 2.50/lb including shipping. Arrived something like 3 days after I ordered it. I plan on purchasing more soon.
