Looking forward to tomorrow

Post by FedoraDave »

I always brew on Sunday morning, so I always look forward to it, but tomorrow, I'm just really anticipating the pleasure of it.

I'm not sure why. Maybe because AG fivers just seem a little more special. Maybe because the recipe I'm doing (2Daves Irish Red) is an RCE recipe Knightmare and I developed a few years ago, and it's just a good beer, and will go down easy this summer. Maybe I just got a kick out of going to the LHBS today with SWMBO (her first time there, and she was pretty impressed with it).

Who knows. I just know I'm brewing tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm usually a Sunday brewer as well. Lately, the twin and I have made a day of it, taking turns brewing at my house or his when it's time for brewing. We enjoy good beers and usually BBQ or a nice lunch and if the weather is nice, stay outdoors.
It is more relaxing to me than many can believe and in no way is it work.

But tomorrow there's a 90% chance of rain and I'm full of beer so I'm taking a few weeks off of brewing but while you're brewing, I'll be changing oil in 2 cars. Not really work but dirty.
Enjoy the brewday!

Heh, you know me too well, Birdie.

I've already waxed philosophic about the therapy of brewing, though. I've actually been thinking about writing something on the topic of competitions, and my experiences with the two I've entered, and what I've learned from them.
