Hey guys, some of you may be interested in this.
SEEKING AMATEUR BREWERS FOR NEW TV SERIES
Are you insanely passionate about making beer? Are you an amateur brewer who competes?
Are you part of a group of friends, social club, or family who brew together? Do you devote
every waking second (or all of your free time) to making beer?
A major cable network and Part2 Pictures, an award-winning documentary film and television
company based in New York City have teamed up to develop a quality TV show about the fun,
competitive world of amateur beer brewing.
We are currently casting people who represent the wide-range of folks making beer – especially
those of you who are very active members of a brew club or beer brewing group. We’d love to
speak with you to learn more about the where’s, how’s and why’s of brewing beer.
WE ARE SEEKING:
• Amateur brewers who participate in competitions (or will be entering their first
competition)
• Members of a social brewers club who brew together
• Colleagues or friends who are part of a brew team
• Siblings or a whole family of brewers
• We will also consider individual brewers not part of a cohesive group
• Brewers with a “friendly rivalry” – or who have someone they’ve been dying to outbrew
• We are open to people who have been doing this for many years or just starting out, or
amateurs who have the dream of going pro
• We are interested in people who just LOVE beer
• Big personalities and huge passion for making beer a must!
If you fit the description or know someone who does, please email:
casting@part2pictures.com with the following info:
• name, email and phone number
• a recent photo of yourself and your “brewmates”
• where you live
• why you love making beer
• how long you’ve been brewing beer
• describe your group (or indicate if you brew and compete on your own)
• your local brew club (if applicable)
• details of the competition circuit (how many competitions you participate in, when you
will be next competing, etc.)
• describe the type of beer(s) you make and why you think it’s the best!
• why you’d love to participate in a show about beer brewers

Now when you guys contact these folks don't forget to mention The Evil Twin I'm sure they will want to mix him into the works as well.
Oh and I'll be wanting autographs from each of you BEFORE you become famous.

I'm worried that if the other 3 actually hung around me for any length of time I wouldn't like them they wouldn't like me.

Hell no Jeff. Maybe it could be a way for the four of us to actually get together and brew, and it would be on their dime!!!! OK...I'm dreaming, like they would pick us for their show.

Which ever one of you gets assigned to contact them (read Ron) just direct them to all of your posts on the Borg and I guarantee you'd get hired.BlackDuck wrote:Hell no Jeff. Think the Sienfeld of home brew sitcom; hell I'd even renew my cable contract to watch that every week.

I nominate the Hat.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.
Never mind, there it is.
Re: Oh Three Amigos and your Sidekick...
That sounds like it would be a blast, but I'm guessing the reality is that they would want to have a competitive nature to it just to make it entertaining.
But, it would be interesting to have Jeff brewing in his kilt, I'm sure.
My set up (BIAB) also isn't that interesting visually so I'm guessing that wouldn't exactly draw people in either.

In high winds.
THAT would be entertaining.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

You'd get them right off when they found out about Ink with his kilt, and you forgot about the whole showering with beer thing.Kealia wrote:That sounds like it would be a blast, but I'm guessing the reality is that they would want to have a competitive nature to it just to make it entertaining.

And you guys doing the same recipes threads are much more interesting than a big competition gathering (which I'm sure they will cover with someone anyway.
The four of you + The Evil Twin the way your relationship is having never laid eyes on each other they'd eat up.
Y'All outa at least contact them; I doubt they are dragging every one to a single location from the info they were after, sounds like they want folks to be spread out. Who knows.
Beer_Lord you are a natural for this and Ink you'd probably only have to meet them in person once or twice; a couple of IPAs ahead of time should take care of any trepidation.
Come on guys give it a go and make the Borg proud (and famous).

Oh Cruddle! I forgot that none of you have the brewer beards going so they are liable to believe you are frauds after they see all the other entries that get submitted.Beer-lord wrote:I'm not pretty but I think I'm better looking than the Duck Dynasty guys.
You'll have to convince them that there are indeed very good brewers who are clean shaven and that that they are much funnier.
