A Milestone for me today.
Today I have officially completed 30 years at my job along with my boss and good friend also. We started the same day April 9, 1984. To our surprise today our fellow workers all pitched in and bought pizza and wings for lunch to celebrate. Now I can retire anytime I want, I just want to get a few things together first and it won't be much longer. It's a good feeling I can leave whenever I want now. I'm having a couple homebrews to celebrate tonight and I just wanted to share this with the Borg.

Re: A Milestone for me today.
Congrats for sticking with it so long. I've been with my company since college and ended up buying it (it's not all that) so I'm actually working here for 36 years though only as part owner and later, full owner for 30 years.
To keep a job that long is a rarity these days so I toast you for staying the course. But, how can anyone retire when groceries and beer cost so much?

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
