Re: Wakatu
I am thinking since they are so low in Alph Acids it wouldn't hurt to FWH, then add an ounce at 10, then do a hop stand from 160F for half an hour.Gymrat wrote:http://www.farmhousebrewingsupply.com/w ... 2013-sale/

Re: Wakatu
Noticed this thread, so posting here in place of Gymrat's recipe posting thread...
Resurrecting an old thread, but I recently picked up 6oz of these hops for a steal. Anyone have experience with them? Gymrat (if you are still active), how did your beer turn out with these? I'm planning to run a small (5%ish) beer of a pretty light malt profile (thinking 90% 2 row, 10% Crystal 15l), probably dropping Magnum or Perle as the bitter, and then a mess of this in flavor/aroma/dryhop. I did this malt and hops bill with a couple other hops (Citra, Amarillo) and thought it was a fun way to showcase a single hop. I got both Wakatu and Challenger in this sale, so probably will do both in this fashion.

Re: Wakatu
Hey Swen, I've had Wakatu in some local beers, but never as a stand-alone so I can't speak to exactly what they brought to the party, sorry.
Somebody has to be the guinea pig, though - thanks!
