Re: Godspeed, Glen Campbell
I heard this on the radio yesterday. So sad. He was a tremendously talented guitarist, and a mighty fine singer, too.

Such a shame. That disease robs you of your self.
He's a very good guitar player.
I was lucky and fortunate to play in the pit for The Will Rogers Folles back in the 90's.He starred in that show for a while.

Such a great talent to be silenced by such an awful disease. His wonderful voice will be missed.

Yes, and I heartily recommend his last three albums"RickS wrote:Such a great talent to be silenced by such an awful disease. His wonderful voice will be missed.
- Meet Glen Campbell ( 2008)
- Ghost on the Canvas (2011)
and
- See You There (2013) ... this is made of vocal tracks of his "old favorites" that he laid down during the Ghost on the Canvas sessions. Very raw, barebones ... and touching. And example ... Rhineston Cowboy, just Glen and an electric guitar ...
http://tyoung.org/post/rc.mp3 What a way to end a stellar career. Very sobering.
