Well, having never had the need to ship these, but, having a sister in Portland who every now and again orders crawfish, I know once she mentioned this company...http://www.cajungrocer.com/fresh-foods- ... Mwod4QMA9w
But, other than that, I have no idea what to suggest. Like all seafood, freshness is important of course, but chilling mudbugs puts them to sleep. You really don't freeze them unless you peel the tails first.
If I got them, I'd cook them right away. If you ever order any, let me know before you do and I'll give you a few tips to cooking and eating them.

I've shipped live ones up to Ohio twice. I have the company that I used saved on a list at work, I'll look it up tomorrow. At least for the company I used, the trick is to be available when they arrive. They come in freight at the airport so I had to go and pick them up. I think I could have had them delivered to the door, but the cost of shipping almost doubled.

As promised....here's the guy that I've used in the past. Tony's Seafood out of Baton Rouge: http://tonyseafood.com/index.php
Doesn't look like you can order online, but they were extremely helpful when I ordered over the phone. And I thought the quality was very good. I've used them twice with no issues what-so-ever. And they adjust their prices according to the market to. So if it seems high now, keep an eye out as the market will adjust. Paul could probably lend good information here.

They're in Baton Rouge, which isn't a bad thing, just that you may pay less for the seafood but more for shipping since their airport doesn't go everywhere and likely has to tug them down to our airport. Their prices don't look too bad considering the season but now that Lent is over, by next weekend, with the warm weather we're having, the bugs should be plentiful.
