Brew Dogs are coming to NOLA

Post by Beer-lord »

http://www.thebeerbuddha.com/2014/04/br ... ewing.html
So file this one under Holy Sh%$ Balls! James Watt and Martin Dickie from BrewDog Brewery and Brew Dogs TV show will be brewing with NOLA Brewery for one their episodes! I copied this straight from NOLA Brewing's Facebook page. Why not right?

Brew Dogs will be making a trip to New Orleans! James Watt and Martin Dickie, from the Scottish brewery BrewDog, will team up with our brewers and brew one hell of a crazy beer to be filmed for their show on Esquire Network. The free tasting party will feature this collaboration beer and we will also be showing them how a crawfish boil is done! Please take note, that this party will be filmed so please no hats and shirts with major logos.
To learn more about Brew Dogs, take a look here: http://tv.esquire.com/shows/brew-dogs.

Hell yeah!! See you there!

Cheers!

That's f'ing cool. I do enjoy the show and somehow think that crawfish are going to end up in the kettle.

I hope you can attend Paul.

I've actually thought about a crawfish beer and decided I didn't know WTF I would be doing so pushed it out of my mind.
We have a lot of petrochemical companies up the Mississippi River so maybe they'll make a chemical, glow in the dark beer.
Oops, sorry Ron, I said the words, 'dark beer' together. :jumpy:

Not sure when it will happen but I'll try to make it.

I hope Cafe Dumonde wins out over crawfish; I'd drink the latter. :jumpy:

Well, maybe they'll just use the water that's left over from washing the streets down in the French Quarter after a busy weekend. I'm sure the urine/puke flavors can't be hidden by the hops.

I can see it now. Creole IPA. An IPA loaded with hops and a little extra bit of creole at the end.

Nah... I'm thinking it'll be a Cajun IPA w/ Cajun spices and a 'trinity' of hops...

We've just about covered all the stereotypes except for voodoo and gators. Oh yeah, a blend of the famous drink, Hurricane with Gulf of Mexico oil spill water. Yeah, I'm sticking with that one.

Wer die sind Brauen Hunde und NOLA Brauerei??

Bourbon, kleine Süßwasser Hummer und heiß Pfeffer. Pilsner und Vienna Malz, Hallertauer Hersbrucker, Magnum Hopfen. Wetten, dass Sie es schmeckt fantastisch

I just called and we can definiltey show up. It's next Thursday night (4/24/14) from 7-9. I'm getting there early.
They wouldn't tell me anything about what's been brewed but did say that all the filming except for the tasting party is done. I didn't even know this was going on.
They still don't have an air date but I'm going to try to get on film wearing my NOLA shirt and hat.
Whoooo-hoooo I'm pumped.
Watch out-----old man coming! :hammer:

A good warm up session for when the Three Amigos (and their side kick :p get on the documentary...

Beer-Lord you need to ask a bunch of stuff about being on beer tv so you can share some tips with the others for when the time comes.

Oh and get there way early, I advise, after the free wort give away craziness I witnessed.

Now back to what they'd brew... HMM... bayou water, spanish moss, Tabasco, nothing Gumbo it just wouldn't work AH! an oyster stout.

I saw that as well on one of their twitter feeds they were in New Orleans filming that episode. I was glad to hear they go another season as I thought the show was pretty cool. The whole "hello", "how are you" bit is getting old, but other than that....A lot of things they do are fun to watch and the breweries and brewers they meet are cool to see.
