Re: What are you drinking?
a couple liberal dose of Granny Moses's rheumatiz medicine.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
Edgar Allan Poe

Johnnie black label.
Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.
Re: What are you drinking?
Saint Sebastian Tripel. 6 months aged. Absolutely delicious. Bubblegum and oranges.
Re: What are you drinking?
My bourbon barrel pale ale. My son was visiting from NYC this past week and drank about half the remaining ones from my last batch so I will need to brew this again soon.
Re: What are you drinking?
My Rye IPA. Lots of firsts with this one. First brew in my new 8 gallon kettle, first full volume BIAB, first recipe plugged into Beersmith, first time doing a hop stand.
Didn't quite hit my numbers, but all in all I'm pretty pleased, good bitterness without being too harsh, with just a touch of rye, and, it doesn't show in the photo, but it's clear enough for me to read my monitor through it

Re: What are you drinking?
I actually thought of you BB when I was working on the recipe. I pulled some inspiration from Ruthless Rye, which I seem to remember you having a fondness for.
The hop profile on this taste similar to ruthless, and the bit of rye rounds it all out.

Currently Miami Brewing's Shark Bait, but swmbo and I went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner tonight and I got a flight of beers that consisted of Sweetwater 420, Angry Orchard Crisp cider, Lost Coast's Great White wit, and Orange Blossom Pilsner.

Re: What are you drinking?
Victory Swing Session Saison.
It's a saison. Its dry. It's spicy and a bit funky. I think they used a Belgian strain, it's not tart/citrusy, just dry. And I'm missing that compared to my own saisons. It's very thin in the body department, but that is to be expected as a hyper attenuated 4% beer. I make lots of what I consider session Saisons, but they end up more around 5-5.5%. Its supposed to have wheat and oats in it, but I think they filtered out all the goodness they bring to the mouthfeel to get it crystal clear. I would drink it again if someone handed me one, but I'd rather drink my own, or ones with a Naked Cat on the label.

Re: What are you drinking?
After yesterday's graduation from a Master's program for one of my son's, we drank 5 different brews (all my homebrew). Saturday brings another graduation (other son, undergrad) so we'll be trying more.
Yesterday:
White House Honey Porter
Old Mr. Beer Oatmeal Stout with steeped grains
Oktoberfest with Raspberries
Old Mr. Beer HCD with Raspberries
Irish Hills Red
Mackinac Island Red
