Took a sample today

Post by Gymrat »

First I LOVE having a tap where my thermometer was. It was so easy to get a sample of beer without any yeast in it. This was Ralph's Summer Wheat. It was at 1.015 so it has a few more points to go. It tasted absolutely wonderful. I am not sure how to describe it at this point. But I can say it will be one incredibly refreshing beer.

Roger,

If you are able I would love to see a video of this setup in action. I know I can't be the only one.

I don't know how I would go about getting a video without another set of hands. But here is a photo. The valve I am using to take samples is the one with the blue handle. I really don't want to have to tear the valve down everytime I clean my conical so I am planning on buying another butterfly valve.

Nice! Remind me how big that is? Next to that 5G bucket it looks HUGE.

I think it is the perspective from the angle of the shot. It is a 10 gallon. It is a Stout Tanks fermenter.
