Bear Republic Apex

Finally got to drink this beer Ron was kind enough to send. 8.95% ABV I think. I knew it was a Bear Republic beer the minute I smelled it. Not as bitter or hoppy as I would have thought. Pretty dang good really. Malty but balanced, flavorful, clean and not too heavy. I had no idea it was almost 9%.
You can tell this is a very high quality beer from the start. Nothing but quality. I miss my regular dose of Race 5 and this filled the niche.

Ron, you are a gentleman and a scholar (I Think) to share that with paul and therefore ME.........it was a Very nice beer on a VERY nice brew day. One that I enjoyed immensely....not just because of the food and beer.......well, I'm lying....BECAUSE of the good food and beer.

Glad you guys liked it. The bottle I had was very good, too - but on tap at Bear Republic it was GREAT. I'm sure you can say the same about most beers, though.

And as you guys know, it's fun to share beers.
