Yesterday, I was browsing Craigslist for brewing-related items, and came across an ad that just got posted. A guy had two corny kegs for sale. I shot him an email, and got a response that they were still available and I was the first in line if I wanted them. A few hours later I was the proud owner of these babies:
I mean the two on the left - the one on the right is one of my old ones for comparison. He wanted $250, but we agreed on $200 for both. The catch is that they are missing posts, so that's another $50 out of my pocket, but they are basically brand new, and I couldn't pass up a deal like this.
Now the dilemma.... what the heck do I do with them...

Well, you can buy new, 5 gallon corny kegs for $83 (sale, I just ordered 1 more) https://bvrgelements.com/product/NEW-5- ... 7AodjSkAZw
I'm buying one a year until I have only new one's and plan on selling my used ones to the local homebrew club or swapping for other equipment.

What size are they? I wasn't sure if the one on the right was a 5 gallon or not to judge size. If so, dayum! You could ferment in the large one!

Re: Score? Or not?
The one on the right (one of my old ones) is a standard 5 gallon corny, the one next to it is 10 gallons, and the tall one is 15.... I'm leaning toward fermenting in them, possibly under pressure... since I definitely don't want to lift a 10 gallon corny in and out of my keezer, and the 15 gallon one is way too tall to fit.Beer-lord wrote:What size are they?
