Thanks for all the replies my Borg friends.FedoraDave wrote:Every state has its own trapping laws, so either make sure you're familiar with them, or else call in a professional. As a pest control professional, I know how frequent it happens that a homeowner tries to take matters into their own hands, effs it up, and then calls us in to fix the original problem while undoing the chaos they caused with their DIY attempt.
Unfortunately, it's pricey to call in a professional animal control company, but if your county or town doesn't have a department that can take care of it, you may have to bite the bullet.
I don't want to do the "OH Skunk Kill It" thing because I understand that they are beneficial in that they eat bugs I don't want like scorpions etc. I just would like her to relocate, and if this is the same skunk she had a habit of leaving her kitten right on the outside of the fence where the dogs could see it and go nuts but now found her way inside.
I'll start making calls; I don't have a gun to shoot it with and she picked the narrowest spot between the fence and the rock wall anyway.
IF, IF I decided to let her raise the baby (hopefully not plural) anyone know how long I would have to host them before they leave and I could close up any gaps in the fence?
