Pretty cool read. Out of all those breweries he made his way to and from, I think only one is still in existence: Moerlein Brewery, which is now called Christian Moerlein Brewing Co and is still based in Cincinnati.

I had a similar feeling. This guy changed jobs constantly, fought in the Civil War, suffered fires, apparently tornadoes, lost his wife. The 19th Century was tough! Thank God they had beer.jivex5k wrote:Thanks for sharing this, that was awesome.
