Jai Alai, you are mine.

Post by jivex5k »

There can be only one. Jai Alai.

My rock...my foundation. I can always count on her being there for me, waiting patiently, beautifully bathed in the florescent light of her chilled haven. Like a shining beacon of nature, she emits a verdant beam directly into my soul. I see her there sitting innocently, watching with bemusement as I flit between the aisles searching for that beer of the month. She knows it is but a passing fancy, and I shall ever return to her side before I return to the cold, unforgiving cacophony that is interstate 95.

She sits at my side as we journey together through the arduous lanes, where wizened crones collide with youth, forever convinced of it's own infallibility. But I press on, knowing we can share the night together, enjoying a torrent of feline capers sent from magical tubes. A hard path indeed, but one well worth the effort. For in that moment of respite once our journey is over, the world seems to fall into place.

I am ever yours Jai Alai, and you are ever mine.

Haha, it was inspired by a BA thread asking about your "goto" beer. A poem formed organically while I was thinking about jai alai. It's really good beer!
I really need to start my beer blog again, maybe with poems to beers this time instead of regurgitated puns about head.
