Rebel Zima
Of course, there is this actual recipe. One guy in the local homebrew club brews this and brought it to the ENBF for sampling. Surprisingly, it tasted like... Mountain Dew. OK, maybe that wasn't a big surprise. That guy also makes a chocolate chip cookie dough beer (standard english ale with a log of cookie dough in the secondary). Strange...

All the Mormons I knew in happy valley (Provo) drank lots of Mountain Dew. They would not drink coffee or tea - caffeinated hot beverages were bad. But caffeinated cold sugary beverages were "voted in by the elders" at some point as ok as in they decided it wasn't the caffeine that was bad but the hotness. Or something.
Now they think beer is bad - IE I spent many a day in a TGI Fridays that had a bar, but nobody behind it and no booze - you could order one 3.2 beer if you were a "foreigner" but if you ordered a second one they wouldn't serve it. But maybe they would vote this in as alright, since it's got Mountain Dew in it. Because Mountain Dew is good. Or something.

LOL That's too funny, both the kit and the allowance of Mountain Dew.
I can work through their logic I believe:
Hell = Hot
Hell = Bad
Hot = Bad
Strangely enough there is a really good brewery in Utah called Uinta.

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

Come to life and fade away;

I am drinking ale today."
